Hidden Inches is a 100% Human Remy Hair Extension Brand from the UK with multiple shades and lengths ranging from 14” – 26”
Maintenance:
To ensure your extensions stay in excellent condition you will need to upkeep with regular maintenance and use the correct aftercare products to care for the extensions.
Maintenance is required every 4 – 12 weeks (dependent on what type) this is to ensure no damage is done to your own hair and to check everything is going well with the extensions.
Washing, Brushing, Blowdrying & Styling:
The trick to keeping your Hidden Inches Hair Extensions in the best possible condition is to use sulphate free or hair extensions safe shampoo and conditioner as it won’t dry out the extensions.
Detangle your hair with a tangle teaser or extension bristle brush prior to washing, this will ensure the hair doesn’t get matted in the washing process. Always keep your head upright when washing, gently massage the scalp with your fingertips, avoid pulling and tangling up your hair.
Avoid putting conditioner near your scalp as this will loosen your hair extensions, it may cause the beads or glue to slide out the hair. When you have finished washing your hair, squeeze the excess water out and pat the hair dry. If you are putting your hair up in a towel, be as gentle as possible and keep it at a minimum, leaving your hair in a towel for long periods of time can cause matting.
When brushing the hair remember to brush the hair starting from the ends working your way up the head, supporting the hair by holding the bonds. To avoid damage keep brushing the hair when wet to a minimum. Hidden Inches hair extensions can be straightened, curled and blow-dried. Frequent use of heat and heat exposure can affect the lifespan of the hair extensions just like it does to natural hair.
Make sure the hair extensions don’t come into contact with any heat styling tools as it can make the bonds melt and become fragile.
Dying & Colouring:
Any processes such as bleaching and dying will shorten the lifespan of the hair extensions.
If you do choose to do this, make sure it is carried out by a professional.
The end result can vary due to the processes the hair extensions have already undergone.
Sleeping:
Whilst sleeping you move around a lot what can cause your hair to become tangled and matted.
Sleeping with a satin pillowcase or bonnet will help minimise this.
It is very important that before going to bed your hair is completely dry as wet hair will become matted as you toss and turn in your sleep.
Sleeping with your hair brushed thoroughly and braided into a plait will maintain the hair extension condition.
Holiday:
Extra care must be taken when going on holidays with hair extensions.
When hair extensions come into contact with chlorine, salt water and heat it can cause the extensions to feel dry.
Protect your hair when in direct sunlight with a hat or even a heat protector spray.
Sun cream or tanning oils should never come into contact with hair extensions as it can turn the hair a pink/peach colour.
Always wear hair up so that it doesn’t come into contact with any areas that’s had cream applied to.
Chlorine and salt water can cause the hair to turn green, to avoid this wear your hair up and if it does come into contact with either of these wash your hair immediately.
If your hair extensions start to show signs of discolouration silver shampoo may help get it out but if not contact your hair extensionist.
Discolouration sometimes can be irreversible.
Returns:
Hidden Inches has a refund policy of 14 days and an exchange policy of 28 days providing the hair is in the original packaging and untouched.
